Therapy for Anxiety

Does this sound like you?

  • You feel stuck in an endless loop of overthinking, imagining worst-case scenarios, and worrying if you’ve upset someone.

  • No matter how hard you try to relax, your brain just won’t turn off.

  • Your body either feels like it’s buzzing with nerves, ready to explode—or completely shutting down.

  • You’re known for being the overachiever, the perfectionist, the one who always has things under control. But underneath it all, there’s that relentless pressure and panic—what if you don’t get everything just right?

Here’s the thing: anxiety isn’t all bad. It’s a natural response designed to keep us safe. But when it takes over—disrupting your sleep, holding you back, or leaving you exhausted—it’s time to rethink your relationship with it.

Anxiety doesn’t have to run your life. You can take back control—and find some peace along the way.

Listen, I get how hard it can be to walk through life carrying the weight of the past.

It may have started in your past, but today it is showing up as heightened anxiety, as people-pleasing, overachieving, or as shutting down. I know what it’s like to pour yourself into distractions or chase a sense of control, hoping it’ll make things better.

If only you do more—accomplish more or take on more responsibility—then, you will feel better about yourself and be able to move on. Maybe then, you will finally be good enough.

But the root of the pain never gets addressed, unless we give it space to heal.

Whether your struggles stem from a difficult childhood or something more recent in your life, healing can begin with slowing down and creating a space for growth and repair.

Find the courage to say “no” and the confidence to say “yes” to what truly feels right for you.

Therapy for anxiety with me looks like:

  • We will meet together and build a trusting relationship built on honesty and compassion

  • We will cultivate curiosity about how anxiety shows up for you

  • We will work to uncover anxiety’s underlying causes

  • We will help you build more self-awareness when anxiety is present, and explore strategies to help find regulation and grounding, quieting the inner noise

  • Drawing from evidence-based practices, such as parts work and EMDR, we will connect your past to the present— noticing how past hurt and unresolved issues show up today as anxiety

  • With compassion at the forefront, we will work toward building trust in yourself to navigate the uncertainties life brings
